Six pieces, with the dimensions that make them what they are
Brass rods and pyrex, 180 centimetres
A chain pendant 180 cm across and 135 cm tall, built from gold-galvanised metal rods alternating with slender clear pyrex glass tubes. The light passes through the glass and catches on the metal.
Forty-seven thousand tubes, rung by hand
One hundred and sixty centimetres across, 195 tall, and inside it 47,000 pyrex glass tubes, 5 mm across, threaded by hand one at a time. Chromed structure and rose. That is not a catalogue figure: it is a team's time.
Four metres, fifty drops of Murano
A 160 cm chromed steel ceiling plate with recessed spots built in, and fifty drops carrying sixty-five Murano glass helices each. At the centre, a crown of lamps that lights the glass from inside.
Three metres above the atrium, seventy-five drops
A 140 cm mirror-chromed steel ceiling plate and seventy-five drops with methacrylate helices, mirror-chromed as well. The central rod carries a crown of G9 lamps that backlights the whole mass.
Five metres seventy-five, in blown glass
A chromed steel rose and a central rod with staggered arms, each loaded with red blown-glass spheres. Light spreads from G9 lamps mounted on rings of different sizes, so no point burns out.
A five-metre star, assembled in pieces
Designed as a modular system, because five metres of diameter do not go into a site in one piece: it travels in sectors and the central ring closes after installation. Then the blue blown-glass elements come down.
From specification to installed piece, with no importer in between
Calculation, dimensioned shop drawings, mock-up room and CE, UKCA, GS and ETL/UL compliance. The specification goes to the factory, not to a distributor.
