Sales Agent — United Kingdom

A self-employed mandate for someone who already sits in front of UK architects, interior designers and fit-out contractors — and would rather open a channel than carry a catalogue.

You represent a factory, not a catalogue
Lightinup International Limited is the UK company of an Italian manufacturer that has been making bespoke decorative lighting in Padua since 2007. Between you and the production line there is no importer and no wholesaler.
That changes what you can promise. Shape, size, material, finish, light source, wiring and certification are all still open when you sit down with a specifier — because the piece has not been made yet.
The part that is not selling: the partner programmes
We run two partner programmes, and a large part of this mandate is bringing the right people into them and then serving them.
Resident Manager is for distributors and agents: a reserved price list applied to the account, sales documents, and support on quotations.
Resident Professional is for architects, interior designers and consultants: lighting schemes calculated on their own plans, an archive of already-engineered pieces available nowhere else, and Lumina Forge for renders and CAD.
A partner who is set up properly keeps specifying with us long after the first project. That is the difference between a representative and a channel, and it is the part of the job that compounds.
What we put in, so you do not have to
An internal technical office that produces lighting calculations, executive drawings and samples on your client's brief. You do not have to become a lighting engineer.
Lumina Forge, our own platform, which turns a concept into photorealistic renders, product sheets and CAD tables quickly enough to be shown in the first meeting.
CE, UKCA, GS and UL/ETL certifications already in hand — the same ones your client has to produce at handover.
A UK company, a UK contract and pricing in sterling. Your client is not buying an export.
Who this is for
Someone who already has relationships with practices, FF&E consultants, procurement teams or fit-out contractors in the United Kingdom, in hospitality, luxury retail or high-end residential.
Someone comfortable with contract timelines, where the fixing point is decided months before the fitting exists, and with the paperwork a tender asks for.
Self-employed, working on a mandate. Terms, territory and remuneration are agreed when the mandate is signed — we would rather discuss them with you than publish them.
How to apply
Send your profile and the kind of projects you work on. If lighting is already part of what you place, say which brands you carry: we are looking for a mandate that sits alongside them, not one that displaces them.
